Europe map quiz
How well do you know the map of Europe? Name all 50 countries on a blank map, from Iceland to Russia
and from Norway to Malta. The quiz includes the microstates (Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino and
Vatican City), which get a circle so they are easy to select, and Kosovo.
Russia, Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan lie in both Europe and Asia, so they are part of the
Asia map quiz too. Alternative names such as Czech Republic, Holland
or UK are accepted.

How to play
- Type names: select a place on the map and type its name. You can go back to change or remove any name.
Small spelling mistakes are forgiven, and common alternative names are accepted.
- Find on map: you get the names one at a time, in random order, and select where each one is.
Select a place you already named to take its name back: it goes to the end of the list.
Nothing is marked right or wrong until you select Check answers. Then right answers turn blue,
wrong ones red and unnamed ones amber. Fix mistakes clears the wrong names so you can try again.
Your progress on each map is saved in this browser. Zoom with the buttons, the mouse wheel or two fingers.

Data and licences
Borders follow internationally recognised boundaries: territory annexed without recognition by the United Nations
is shown as part of the country it was taken from, so Crimea belongs to Ukraine and the Golan Heights to Syria.
Elsewhere, where no border has been agreed (as in Kashmir), the map follows Natural Earth's lines of actual control.
